MELISSA CAMPESI, President/CEO/Chairman of the Board
Ms. Campesi became Chairman of LCTA in June 2013 after serving as Vice Chairman since 2007 where she assisted the Chairman in overseeing the performance of the Fund. She brings twelve years of executive management experience to LCTA having worked in senior management positions at Tulane University Hospital.
As a Vice President, Ms. Campesi served as Chief Nursing Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Director of Tulane Physician Clinics. In the midst of her experience at Tulane, Ms. Campesi worked for two years at HCA of Louisiana’s Division Office as the Director of Operations Improvement. She was responsible for improving patient care while negotiating cost saving support service contracts for eighteen hospitals across Louisiana. Ms. Campesi held other management positions at Tulane for an additional seventeen years. She has a B.S. in Nursing and an MBA degree.
TROY PREVOT, Executive Vice President/Secretary of the Board
Troy J. Prevot graduated from LSU with a degree in Health Science/Sports Medicine in 1985. He went on to get his Physician Assistant degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine.
He completed his MBA from LSU in 2006 and served as Senior Vice President of a regional workers comp carrier, overseeing claims, information technology, compliance, and internal controls.
In August 2013, he joined LCTA as the Fund Administrator/COO. He then transitioned into the role of Executive Vice President after the conversion of LCTA from a fund to admitted carrier. He also sat on the Governor’s Workers’ Compensation Advisory Council for eight years and continues to participate in crafting legislation. He sits on the Official Disability Guideline advisory board and The Workers’ Comp Research Institute (WCRI) Advisory Council. He has recently been appointed to the Advisory Council on Opioid and Heroin Prevention and Education for the state of Louisiana.
TIM REIER, Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Reier joined LCTA Workers’ Comp in February of 2013 as the Underwriting and Marketing Manager. He then transitioned into the position of COO, where he is responsible for oversight of the operations of LCTA Risk Services, LCTA’s managing general agency. He has over 30 years of experience in the insurance industry on both the carrier and agency side.
Prior to joining LCTA, he served as the Commercial Lines Director for a multi-state retail agency. His main background, however, is in underwriting with experience ranging from multi-line underwriter and marketing representative with Zurich North America to underwriting manager for a Louisiana based regional workers’ comp carrier. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Louisiana Tech.
CHRISTINE MARTIN, Chief Financial Officer
Ms. Martin joined LCTA in April 2016 and serves as their Chief Financial Officer. She has over 20 years of experience in the insurance industry that spans both the insurance company and the managing general agency sides.
She previously worked as the Controller for Myron F. Steves and Company in Houston, TX, and also held various positions at HCC Insurance subsidiaries including CFO of several insurance companies. Ms. Martin received her Bachelor of Science from Louisiana State University and earned her CPA certification soon after.
