LCTA’s Team Grows with New HR Director/Compliance Manager

Baton Rouge, La. --- LCTA recently named David Williams, a risk management professional, as the human resource director and compliance manager of its growing team.  He will also have responsibility for the risk management function of LCTA. Williams began his career as a claims adjuster and rose through the ranks to management of claims offices. He then moved to the agency side, first with a local agency and then with a national broker.  His expertise includes insurance coverage, claims management, and alternative risk transfer. Most recently, Williams was part of Hub International Gulf South’s marketing department where he was involved with the design and placement of coverage on large accounts, including those with loss sensitive programs.  He was also the primary resource on captive insurance and alternative risk financing. With previous positions as an insurance producer, marketing executive, adjuster and claims manager, Williams’ knowledge and understanding of the business will strongly benefit LCTA. “We are excited to have David on board.  His experience and knowledge in all facets of the insurance industry make him uniquely qualified to fill both roles within our organization,” Tim Reier, COO, said. LCTA Promotes Tim Reier to COO

BATON ROUGE, La. --- LCTA Worker’s Comp (LCTA) recently announced the promotion of Tim Reier to chief operating officer. Reier most recently served as the underwriting and marketing manager. As COO, Reier will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing the daily operation and direction of Risk Management Resources (TPA for LCTA Workers’ Comp). Various underwriting and marketing roles on both the agency and company side have led Reier to his position at LCTA. Reier’s experience in the Baton Rouge market comes from previous positions with HUB International, LUBA Workers’ Comp, Zurich North America, and Audubon Insurance Group. “I’m grateful to be in a position where I can help others achieve their career objectives while at the same time achieving goals for the good of the company,” Reier said. Reier received his Bachelor of Science in finance from Louisiana Tech University.

LCTA Adds New Underwriting/Marketing Manager to Risk Management Resources Team

BATON ROUGE, La. --- Risk Management Resources, Inc., a third party administrator for LCTA Workers’ Comp (LCTA) recently named Brent P. Acaldo, a CIC with more than 17 years of insurance experience, as the manager of underwriting and marketing. In this role, Acaldo will maintain and oversee daily operations and directions of the underwriting and marketing departments in conjunction with achieving profitable production goals. Acaldo’s experience on the company, retail agency, and brokerage side of the insurance industry gives him a unique insight and ability to address underwriting and risk management. These multiple experiences include working as an underwriting supervisor, associate broker, commercial marketing agent, and surplus lines underwriter. Troy J. Prevot Named Administrator of LCTA Workers’ Comp

BATON ROUGE, La. --- LCTA Workers’ Comp (LCTA) recently announced it has named Troy James Prevot, PA-C, MBA, as its fund administrator. In this position, Prevot will be responsible and guide the day to day operations of the self-insured fund. He also serves as the executive director of the Louisiana Commerce and Trade Association. “Prevot’s experience in the healthcare industry combined with business management experience from his years as a workers’ comp consultant and previous upper-level position at a regional workers' comp carrier, makes him an incomparable leader for LCTA Workers’ Comp,” Melissa Campesi, CEO of LCTA, said. “His background in the healthcare industry provides unique insight for his executive position at the largest self-insured fund in the state of Louisiana.” Prior to joining the LCTA Workers’ Comp team, Prevot spent five years as the senior vice president of LUBA Workers’ Comp.
