BRENT ACALDO, CIC, Underwriting Manager
Mr. Acaldo joined LCTA Workers’ Comp in October 2013. He has over 15 years of experience in the insurance industry on both the agency and carrier side.
His current duties at LCTA Risk Services include the oversight of all aspects within the underwriting department. He has previously worked as an underwriting supervisor with a Louisiana based workers’ comp insurance carrier.
While his primary background has been on the underwriting side, he has also worked with a regional broker performing marketing of middle-market and large accounts. He currently holds the Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation.
JOHNATHON DUPUIS, Information Technology Manager
Johnathon has more than 15 years of information technology experience and has spent many of those years in the workers’ compensation insurance field.
Initially focused on software development, Johnathon branched out into other areas of IT, including network infrastructure setup and support, telephony and VoIP, and website maintenance. He is responsible for maintaining and expanding LCTA’s IT capabilities to improve efficiencies for policyholders, agents, and our staff. Johnathon received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette in 2002.
DAVID WILLIAMS, Compliance and Risk Manager
In his current position, Mr. Williams is in charge of all compliance functions. This includes administering all personnel policies, processes and employment agreements. He also oversees various efforts to ensure our files and records are accurate and in compliance with regulatory requirements and established guidelines. His team also performs periodic internal reviews or audits to ensure that compliance procedures are being followed.
David has an extensive background in worker’s comp and risk management, having served as a coverage placement specialist and claims examiner. He earned a Bachelor of Science in business management from Louisiana State University. He also is a member of Louisiana Surplus Lines Association, Mississippi Surplus Lines Association and Independent Insurance Agents of Louisiana.
RONALD J. FRANCIS, CWCP, Claims Manager
Mr. Francis’ background is in law enforcement and claims investigation. He has over 25 years experience in claims administration having worked as an adjuster, claims supervisor, and claims vice president, primarily in the group self-insured arena.
Mr. Francis is responsible for the day to day management of the claims department. He is a member of the Baton Rouge Claims Association and participates on the LA Association of Self Insured Employer’s (LASIE) Legislative Committee and the LA Association of Business and Industry’s (LABI) workers compensation task force.
Mr. Francis also co-authored and teaches the claims module of the LASIE Certified Workers Compensation Professional (CWCP) program. Ronnie has given numerous talks on issues such as fraud in workers compensation, pursuit of claims with the LA Second Injury Fund, and the impact of vocational rehabilitation in workers compensation.
Paul Boudreaux, MBA, Loss Control Manager
Paul Boudreaux joined the LCTA team in 2015 as a Loss Control Representative and was promoted to Loss Control Manager in 2016.
Paul began his Safety career in 1995. He has been employed in the safety field for transportation, construction, oilfield companies, and insurance companies. His first safety position was for an over the road and local delivery transportation company providing fleet safety supervision. Paul has a total of 12 years of providing Loss Control Services for Worker’s Compensation Insurance Companies. During the course of his safety career he has been a certified instructor for National Safety Council Defensive Driving Course-Professional Truck Driver, First Aid, CPR, AED, Highway Watch Program, as well as other subjects.
Paul received his Bachelors of Science in Criminal Justice with a minor in Business Administration from the University of Southwestern Louisiana 1989. In 2013 Paul earned his MBA from Columbia Southern University.
