LCTA’s Team Grows with New HR Director/Compliance Manager

Baton Rouge, La. — LCTA recently named David Williams, a risk management professional, as the human resource director and compliance manager of its growing team.  He will also have responsibility for the risk management function of LCTA.

Williams began his career as a claims adjuster and rose through the ranks to management of claims offices. He then moved to the agency side, first with a local agency and then with a national broker.  His expertise includes insurance coverage, claims management, and alternative risk transfer.

Most recently, Williams was part of Hub International Gulf South’s marketing department where he was involved with the design and placement of coverage on large accounts, including those with loss sensitive programs.  He was also the primary resource on captive insurance and alternative risk financing.

With previous positions as an insurance producer, marketing executive, adjuster and claims manager, Williams’ knowledge and understanding of the business will strongly benefit LCTA.

Williams is currently a member of several professional associations including Louisiana Surplus Lines Association, Mississippi Surplus Lines Association, and Independent Insurance Agents of Louisiana.

His certifications are Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, Associate in Enterprise Risk Management, Associate in Risk Management, Certified Risk Manager, Associate in Marine Insurance Management, and Certified Insurance Counselor.

Williams received his Bachelor of Science in business management with a concentration in human resources from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge.
